These are the certificates commonly used in matters related to taxation. They are of 3 types mainly
- Tax exempt certificate
- Tax clearance certificate
- TDS certificate
Department of income tax issues the first two certificates while a withholding agent issues TDS certificate.
Tax certificates are only issued if and only if an assessee applies for it at the concerned place.
